Sandra “Sandi” Kay Black, 75, of Indian Trail, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at her daughter’s residence surrounded by family.
Sandi was born September 19, 1946, in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina to the late Jeffrey Luther Black and the late Ruby Elizabeth Black.
Sandi was a beloved mom, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend. She was loving and kind and never met a stranger, she strived to show the same love to others that she desired for herself. Her family was the most important thing in her life aside from her relationship with Christ.
There will be a memorial service for family and friends on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 2pm at Clear Creek Baptist Church, officiated by Brandon Mullis. A private burial will be at Clear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery at a later time.
Survivors include daughter, Tracy (Devin) Baucom of Monroe, NC; sister, Deborah (Tim) Blair of Indian Trail; granddaughters, Rebekah (Ellis) Tarlton and Mikayla Baucom of Monroe, NC, and close friend Marvin Helms of Stallings, NC as well as beloved nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Union County for the care provided to Sandi over the past 5 weeks. They would also like to give a special thanks to Kaye, Brooke and Heather for their kindness and compassion during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County.
