Sandra Floyd

Sandra "Sandy" Bryant Floyd, 86, of Stanfield, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord surrounded by her loved ones.

Mrs. Floyd was born October 18, 1934 in Gastonia, NC to the late Lamar Preston Bryant and the late Hattie Mae Bryant of Stanfield, N.C.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Raymond M. Floyd of Stanfield; son, George E. Jackson of Charlotte; daughter, Maleia Jackson Smith of Stanfield; brothers, Gerald of Dublin, Ga., Dennis of Stanfield. N.C.; and sisters, Patricia Adams "Patty" of Stanfield, N.C., and Deborah "Debbie" Bryant of Stanfield.

Survivors include sons Robert "Bobby" Jackson and Michael J. Floyd; a daughter, Joni and husband, Clifford Love all of Stanfield, NC; brothers, Charles "Eddie" of Asheville, N.C., Lamar "Jackie" of Dublin, Ga., Joseph "Joe" of Gainesville, Ga.; a sister, Jane "Janie" Burnett of Gainesville, Ga. She had five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces who loved her very much.

Sandy worked at Delmar/Herff Jones Printing Company located in Matthews, N.C. for almost 30 years before retiring to take care of her aging parents. She loved working, fishing, gardening, flowers, dancing but most of all traveling. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this time and also to ask for understanding as to the arrangements due to the pandemic. Keeping everyone safe as possible is what she would have wanted.

There will be a drop-in viewing from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Friday, February 19, 2020 at Hartsell Funeral Home, 13575 Broadway Ave., Midland, NC 28107.  A private interment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens in Mint Hill, NC.
