Sandy Hartsell

Sandy Everette Hartsell, age 86, of Salisbury and formerly of Concord, passed away on Friday, November 18th at WG Bill Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury. The funeral service will be at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord Chapel on Tuesday, November 22nd at 2 pm. Burial will be at a later date at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Sandy was born on October 22, 1925 in Stanly County, to the late Sandy Lester and Bessie Mae Page Hartsell. He was also preceded in death by his wife Mary Lee Williams Hartsell and brother Arnold J. Hartsell. Sandy served in the US Army, having received the Bronze Star during The Battle of The Bulge during WWII. Sandy is survived by: sisters, Estelle Austin of Charlotte, and Lois Hatley of Locust. Memorials may be made to WG Bill Hefner VA Medical Center 1601 Brenner Avenue Salisbury, NC 28144.
