Sarah Bode

Sarah Patricia Dugger Bode, 76, of Mint Hill, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022 at her home.

Pat was born May 8, 1946 in Macon, Georgia to the late James Marcus Dugger and the late Mattie Mae Garrett Dugger.
She was also preceded in death by lifelong friend, Jane Megilligan.

Survivors include daughter, Teresa "Tess" Bode of Mint Hill, NC; son, Jerry E. "Bo" Bode, Jr. and his wife, Lori of Fort Collins, CO; grandchildren, Madison Bode of Greenville, NC and Arden Bode of Fort Collins, CO; sister, Doris Dugger of Canton, NC; and various beloved extended family members.

Pat loved animals and she was an incredibly talented softball player who played until her knees would no longer allow. Throughout her life she has been described by many as a force to be reckoned with. Pat was a real foodie, an excellent cook, and the best sous chef ever to her daughter, Tess.

"Mama, I pray your greeters are all the people that were important to you. Start with friends and into family, every person makes you smile and their presence is felt and warm more than seen. Every embrace is measured in the light it produces, ‘til you finally greet your parents and the light of every star is empowered and every regretful shadow overwhelmed.

I pray my children love me as much as we love you…

Mama, I pray you feel ALL the arrows.

I pray those arrows are an aged fine wine, exquisite on your heart.

I pray you the softest of landings,
I love you.
