Sarah Cornett

Sarah Loraine Rushing Cornett, 62, of Love Mill Road, Monroe, passed away at her home March 25, 2010. Mrs. Cornett was born August 18, 1947, in Union County, to Andrew Jackson Rushing and Ona Lee Williams Rushing who preceded her in death. A brother, Wayne Rushing, also preceded her in death. She worked in accounting for Williams Company in Monroe. The family will receive friends Friday, 3:00 - 4:00 at Shiloh Advent Christian Church, 3601 Sikes Mill Road, Monroe. The funeral will begin at 4:00, officiated by Rev. Billy Mobley. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will meet at her home. Survivors include her husband, Luke Edward “Ed” Cornett of the home; son, Mark Cornett of Monroe; daughter, Christy Cornett and husband, Nathaniel Bradley, of Boston, Mass.; brother, Hayne Rushing and wife, Edith, of Monroe; sister-in-law, Janette Rushing of Monroe; grandchildren, Adam Palmer and Chloe Cornett.
