Sarah Flowe

Sarah Black Flowe, 87 years of age, passed away peacefully at her home in Midland, Saturday, March 17, 2012. Miss Flowe was born May 17, 1924 in Mecklenburg County to the late Henry Vernon Flowe and the late Sadie Estelle Black Flowe. A life long resident of Midland, Sarah graduated from Bethel High School in the class of 1943. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at 4 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church of Midland. The family will receive friends in the church vestibule one hour prior to the service from 3 -4 p.m. Rev. Mark Clontz will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at her home. Sarah is survived by a brother, John E. Flowe; sisters, June Flowe of Midland, and Ann Morris and her husband, Roy, of Charlotte; nephews, Eddie Flowe of Midland and Charles Morris of Charlotte; nieces, Leta M. Withers of Charlotte and Laura M. Harding of Dallas, TX; a special great-niece, Amanda Flowe of York, SC; and seven other great-nieces and great-nephews.
