Sarah Haire

Sarah Rebecca Lee Haire passed away August 26, 2009 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Her visitation will be Monday, August 31, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home-Albemarle. Funeral service will be Tuesday, Sept 1, 2009 at Hartsell's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle. Rev. Elizabeth Ayscue officating. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory. She was an active member of the War Mothers providing support to hospitalized veterans and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Albemarle. She taught Sunday School and played the piano for First Presbyterian. She is survived by sons, Johnny Haire of Raleigh; Pat Haire of Van Nuys, Calif; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Joe Benton Haire; daughter, Rebecca Haire; sons, Joe Haire and James Haire; father and mother, William J. Cotton and Pattie Smith Cotton.
