Sarah Minnie Shue Harkey

Sarah Minnie Shue Harkey, 90, of Concord, passed away at St. Andrews Living Center in Concord on Monday, August 26, 2024 after 10 months of declining health.

Mrs. Harkey was born November 6, 1933 in Cabarrus County, NC to the late Paul Franklin Shue and the late Fannie Mae Shoaf Shue. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Johnny David Harkey; brothers, Blondy Shue, Buck Shue, Tony Shue and Gary Shue; sisters, Peggy Cranford, Frankie Rowland and Marsha Barringer.

Survivors include her two daughters, Donna Harkey of Mount Pleasant, NC, and Vickie Fraley of Richfield, NC; two granddaughters, Nicole Lankford (Hunter) and Brittany Fraley; two grandsons, Justin Green (Alex) and Jacob Green (Summer Pulliam); 7 great grandchildren; and a sister, Sue Beaver.

The immediate family will have a private graveside service to honor her request with no visitation. The burial will take place on Friday, August 30, 2024 at West Concord Cemetery in Concord with the Rev. Rick Felts.
