Sarah Morris

Sarah Frances Small Morris, 80 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord. Sarah was born September 4, 1933 in McColl, SC to the late Hoyt Small and the late Georgeanna Skipper Small. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Pauline Small; and brothers, Watie Hoyt Small, Phil Douglas Small, and Jack Herman Small. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 9, 2014 at West Albemarle Baptist Church in the Family Life Center. A celebration of her life of selfless love and devotion to family and the church will follow at 2 pm in the church sanctuary officiated by Rev. Adam Hatley. At other times the family will be gathering at the home of her son, Charles Morris, 704 Springfield Dr. NE in Concord. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, William Bennett Morris of Albemarle; sons, Charles Morris and wife Regina of Concord, and William "Chick" Morris and wife Deborah of Charlotte; six grandchildren, Brian James Morris of Concord, Cassity Stroud of VA, Jessica Pabon of Waxhaw, Nathanael Samonds of Charlotte, Caitlin Dover of Charlotte, Elise Weyersburg of Denver; 14 great grandchildren; nephew, Phil Douglas Small, Jr. of Concord; and niece, Sue Darlene Williams of Kannapolis.
