Sarah Anne Drye Ridenhour, 83, of New London, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021, at Bethany Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle.
Sarah was born June 4, 1938, in Stanly County to the late Floy Gerome Drye and the late Alice Tryphena Lipe Drye. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, M.J. "Pete" Ridenhour; son, Terry Wayne Ridenhour; and several other brothers and sisters.
Sarah retired from working in food service at Stanly Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Albemarle, and enjoyed her Circle #3 group.
Survivors include sons, Rodney (Miranda) Ridenhour and Michael (Tammy) Ridenhour, both of New London; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Jackie Drye; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM - 2:45 PM, Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Salem United Methodist Church, 20987 NC Hwy 73, Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM at Salem United Methodist Church. Burial will be held at a later date in the church cemetery.
