Sarah Yow

Sarah Jane Riley Yow, 80, of 150 Warren C. Coleman Blvd. Concord formerly of 389 Kerr Street passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord. Born on May 22, 1930 in Lee County, Virginia to the late John Henry and Sarah Briller Greene Riley. Sarah was an inspector in the hosiery mill, and a member of Gospel Light Freewill Baptist Church in Concord. She was the last of ten siblings. She dearly loved and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 from 7 until 9 PM. Funeral services will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord Chapel on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 2 PM, with Rev. Jake Shoemaker officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis. She is survived by: sons, Donald Hartsell and wife Debbie of Lincolnton, Larry Edward Hartsell of China Grove; daughter, Linda Hartsell Carroway and husband James of Concord; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
