Saundra Lorch

Saundra Loretta Deese Whitley Lorch, age 69 of Albemarle, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Mercy Hospital, Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home on Saturday, April 21 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. The funeral service will follow in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Joe Smith. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Mrs. Lorch was born in Stanly County on July 14, 1942, to the late James Edward Burleson and the late Virginia Ruth Leonard Burleson. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, James Deese; her second husband, Kenneth “Pete” Whitley and her brother, Steve Burleson. She is survived by her husband of four years, Joseph Lorch, Jr.; three sons, Jeffrey Deese, Gregory Deese and Gary Deese, all of Albemarle; and a brother, Eddie Burleson of Albemarle; three grandchildren, Danielle Whitley, Kristin Scott, and Justin Deese and four great-grandchildren.
