Scott Allen Davis

Scott Allen Davis, 60, of Oakboro, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at his home in Oakboro.

Scott was born April 1, 1964 in North Carolina to the late Charles Allen Davis and Betty Hatley Davis.

He was also preceded in death by his brother Reggie Allen Davis, and grandparents Marshall and Arabelle Hatley and grandparents Mae Allen Davis and Bertha Plyler Davis. 

Scott retired from Charlotte Pipe and Foundry as an Iron Worker. In retirement he was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed woodworking in his spare time. He was an accomplished horseman, hunter, and farmer, often using these skills to provide meals for friends and family. Throughout his life he volunteered with organizations such as the Oakboro Volunteer Fire Dept, The Christian Cooking Convoy and the Society of St. Andrews Gleaning Network. 

Scott was loved by many and made friends everywhere he went. He would do anything for anyone. He held many titles son, cousin, nephew, brother, but his most prized titles were “Daddy” and “Pa”. His greatest joy was his three grandchildren. He was his grandchildren’s favorite person in the world, and they were his.

Survivors include his daughter, Winter (Chris) Barbee of Oakboro, mother, Betty Hatley Davis, sister, Cynthia Yow, three grandchildren Loxley, Rayna, and Briar. And his life companion Kathleen Trombley.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date by his daughter, for family and friends. 

The Davis family is being served by Hartsell Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle.
