Scottie Comer

Scottie Dale Comer, age 52 of 32417 Bethlehem Church Road, passed away on May 13, 2011 at his home. The family will receive friends at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Norwood, on Monday from 1 to 2. The funeral service will follow at 2 in the church sanctuary. Rev. Lowell Brown and Rev. Clyde Comer, Jr. will officiate and the burial will be in the church cemetery. Born in Stanly County, NC on August 23, 1958, he was the son of the late Gordon Reid Comer and the late Josie Mae Howard Comer. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Comer. A fixer in the textile industry, he was a longtime custodian of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter Suzanne Arey and husband J.D. and grandchildren, Bailey and Jeremy.
