Sharon Leah Davis Ellison

Sharon Leah Davis Ellison, 93 years of age, of Concord, formerly of Parkersburg, WV, passed away
Wednesday, August 16, 2023.

Sharon was born December 5, 1929 in Copen, Braxton County, WV to the late Casto Dale and Ethel M
Davis.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Gerald and Oris Davis; her sisters Veda Perkins Hill, Elma
Barnett and Wilma Hollister.

Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie Ellison Bruner and husband Chris; her grandchildren, Joseph,
John and Kristi; her brother, Larry Don Davis and 3 granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.

Sharon graduated from high school and quickly left home and moved to Clarksburg, WV where she
worked for F.W. Woolworth’s. She started at the lunch counter and then moved to the candy counter
where she then met Lawrence who she married and stayed together until his death in 2016. She later
became a mother and house wife who spent her time with friends as well as volunteered as a Listening
Mother at Worthington Elementary and also served as a scout leader.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 27th, 2023 at Hartsell Funeral
Home of Concord. The graveside service will be a private event for family.
