Sharon Lee Ellis Jacobs, age 66 of 2942 NYS Rte. 26S, Vestal, NY, passed away on November 04, 2010 at her daughter’s home. Graveside service will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Cemetery, NY on Thursday, November 11 at 11 AM. Rev. Roger Frederick will officiate. Born in Broome County, NY on January 15, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Barbara Jean Fedora Nichols and the late Basil Ellis. She was also preceded in death by a grandson Tyler Traver. She is survived by her husband, Gordon C. Jacobs, II, of the home; son, Todd Jacobs and wife Holly of Glen Aubrey, NY; daughter, Sherrie Traver and husband Douglas of Norwood; brother, James Kilb and wife Andrea of Johnson City, NY; grandchildren, Shawn Farthing Scott, Crystie Farthing Cox, Alexander Traver, Nicholas Traver of NC, Michael Blodgett, Jeffrey Blodgett, Jessica Blodgett Palmer, of Glen Aubrey; great grandchildren, Harley Cox, Dyna Cox, Willie Scott, Kevin Traver, Ceanna Traver, Austin Traver, Aidan Traver, of NC and several nieces and nephews. She dedicated her life to the safety and care of her children while serving as a school bus driver for Vestal Central School for 40 years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Vestal School Foundation, Inc., PO Box 12, Vestal, NY 13850-0012.
