Shawn William Webb, 50, of Mint Hill, passed away Friday, July 23, 2021, at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte. His mother and father were with him the entire time, and he passed peacefully into God’s waiting arms.
Shawn was born August 10, 1970, in Charlotte to Henry Matthew Webb and Sandra Hyduk Webb. In addition to his parents, Shawn is also survived by his son, Jeremy Webb; brother, Henry Matthew Webb III and wife Kelly Webb and their three sons, Patrick, Alexander, and Nicholas; and many cousins from Pennsylvania to Mississippi. He was predeceased by the love of his life and mother of his son, Denise Paliotta. Shawn will be missed, but he has finally found the peace that he longed and searched for most of his life.
Shawn was a loving father, son, and brother. His last career was as a commercial construction superintendent, where all his coworkers and customers knew him to be knowledgeable and dependable – he was the person you called when you needed something done the right way. Shawn always put other people first and was there whenever anyone needed help. He would drop what he was doing to at a moment’s notice if you needed him. Shawn’s knowledge of how things worked, why they worked that way, and how to correct other people’s mistakes, was one of his best qualities. And his sense of humor was always present – he was the person that would laugh at your jokes, no matter how bad, and he had plenty of his own. We will all miss his goofiness and ability to shine humor in even the most tragic of times.
Rest, my brother, rest well. My heart is broken now but we will meet again someday and be together forever in eternity. Fly to the stars that we both loved across this great universe and visit me some day to tell me how majestic it all is – I will be waiting for you in my dreams.
A memorial service in celebration of Shawn's life will be held in a few weeks, after the family has had a chance to process their loss. Please see our Facebook page for up to date information: https://www.facebook.com/HenryWebb/
