Shelby Eudy

Shelby Jean Eudy, 76 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014 at Bethany Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle. Shelby was born January 29, 1938 in Cabarrus County to the late Joe Avery Smith and the late May Bell Tucker Smith Gilbert. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM, Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Big Lick Baptist Church, 626 Big Lick Road, Oakboro, NC. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Jeff Springer, will follow at 3:00 PM in the church sanctuary. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Melvin Mitchell "Bob" Eudy of Oakboro; daughters, Robbin Blalock of Albemarle, and Judy Huneycutt and husband, Chris of Millingport; sons, Mitchel Eudy and wife, Jamie, Ricky Eudy and wife, Janet, and Tony Eudy and wife, Annette all of Oakboro; grandchildren, Derrick, Colton, and Kyle Huneycutt, BJ, Cody, Tyler and Austin Eudy, Summer Craver, Misty Lilly, and Katie and Hillary Blalock; three great grandchildren, Zeke Lilly, Kobey and Mila Carver; sister, Peggy Burris and brother, Avery Smith and wife, Vicki of Oakboro.
