Shelby Jean Kennedy Freeman, 79 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Monday, October 31, 2016 at Forrest Oakes Healthcare Center in Albemarle.
Mrs. Freeman was born May 14, 1937 to the late Hugh and Dallie Poplin Kennedy.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Mineral Springs Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the church cemetery officiated by Dr. Wayne Bennett.
Survivors include: husband, Dannie Freeman; daughter, Michelle and husband Stan Sides; sons, Jody and wife Sara Helms, Roy Lee Helms, Jr.; grandchildren, Brittany Sides, Amanda Roark, Bryan Helms; great-grandchildren, Autumn Rector, Mallory Helms, Landon Helms, Cooper Roark, Paityn Roark; brothers, Bennett and wife Irene Kennedy, Malcolm Kennedy; sister, Lucille Helms.
