Shelton Whitley

Shelton Lee Whitley, age 68, of New London, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. The family will receive friends at Highland Baptist Church of New London on Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Mike Madaris, will follow in the church sanctuary at 2:00pm. Burial will be held at Stanly Gardens of Memory. At other times, the family will meet at his home. Mr. Whitley was born on January 24, 1945, to the late Floyd Allen Whitley and the late Annie Sides Whitley. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Ethel Mae Whitley of the home; six nephews Glenn Whitley, Paul Whitley, Jerry Whitley, John Whitley, David Rollins, and Jackie Eubanks; and two nieces, Diane Holland, and Cindy McLawhorn.
