Sherman Tucker

Sherman Allen Tucker, 78, of Albemarle, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, September 19, 2019.

Mr. Tucker was born January 22, 1941 in North Carolina to the late Floyd Levi Tucker and the late Rachel Anise Tucker.
She was also preceded in death by sister, Shirley Ann Tucker.

He was a Staff Sergeant in the Army National Guard, a manager in the textile industry, and a farmer.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm, Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Sunday at 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Ron Dry. Burial will follow at the Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Locust.

He will be remembered by his wife, Sarah Rozena Tucker, his daughter and son-in-law (Kim and Greg McDowell), his granddaughters (Zena Verlaque and Connie McDowell) and grandson (Tyler McDowell).brother, Mark (Becky) Moyle, sister, Debbie (Harry) Poplin, nephew, Brice Poplin.
