Shirley Cartrett

Shirley Simmons Cartrett, 72 years of age, of Kannapolis, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.

Shirley was born December 14, 1942 in Whiteville, NC. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby James Cartrett; brother, Tom Simmons; sister, Dorothy Simmons.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be Saturday at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord and officiated by Rev. Mike Farley. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.

Survivors include sons, Bobby "Jay" Cartrett and wife, Joyce of Sumter, SC; Berry Cartrett and wife, Kim of Concord, daughter, Sheral Hartsell and husband, Rick of Concord; companion, Jack Pedro of Kannapolis; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
