Shirley Dennis

Shirley Dianne Talbert Dennis, 57, of Albemarle, NC passed away on March 27, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center – NorthEast in Concord. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 29 from 7-9 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The service will be held Wednesday, March 30 at 2 PM at Canton Baptist Church with a 30-minute state. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Mark Mabry and Rev. Bobby Dennis will officiate. Mrs. Dennis was born in Montgomery County on April 27, 1953 to the late James and Flora Talbert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William, Roger Lee, and Billy Wayne Talbert. Mrs. Dennis is survived by her husband of 40 years, Jesse F. Dennis; son Greg Dennis and wife Krista of Concord; daughter, Angel Dennis Sloop and husband Darin of Concord; brothers, John Daniel Talbert of Kannapolis, James Lewis Talbert, Lonnie Talbert, Bob Talbert, Larry Talbert, all of Albemarle; grandchildren, Jessica Gabbard, Stephanie Dennis, Dawson Sloop, and Faith Sloop. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Dennis family.
