Shirley Ann Dorton, 72, of Concord, passed away at her residence in Concord.
Shirley was born February 8, 1945 in Stanly County, North Carolina to the late Hugh Martin Thompson and Mary Huneycutt Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Wayne Dorton.
The memorial service will be held Friday March 3, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord officiated by Rev. Mike Culler and Pastor Carrie Bishop. Burial will follow at Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Gidget Meadows and husband Basil of Concord, Christina Buckles and life partner Cordell of Salisbury and Sandra Dorton of Concord; Grandchildren Wayne Meadows, Blaine and Matthew Dorton, Alan Buckles and Christy Buckles and many great-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Paris of Concord and a brother, Johnny Thompson of Concord.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Cabarrus County or to the local chapter of the D.A.V. Post #27
