Shirley Harwood Stancil Dunham, 79 years of age, of Concord, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Avante of Concord.
Shirley was born October 19, 1934 in Stanly County to the late Wilburn Lee Harwood and Ora Lee Whitley Harwood. She was also preceded in death by a son, Donald Stancil and husband Ray Dunham.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow on Wednesday at 12:00 pm in Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Thomas Gibbs . Burial will follow at Canton Baptist Church Cemetery, 24615 Endy Road, Albemarle.
Survivors include son, Dexter Stancil and wife Kathy of Concord; brother, Roger Harwood of Boone; grandson, Darren Stancil; granddaughter, Jennifer Russell; three great grandchildren.
Shirley was a member of First Baptist Church of Midland.
