Shirley Kindley

Shirley Ann Baker Kindley, 82 of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully at home, Sunday July 7, 2019.

Shirley loved taking care of her family, always cooking and sewing for her husband and children.  Her hands were rarely still.  Later in life she spent time reading, working puzzles and playing Scrabble to all hours with her kids and grandkids.  She proclaimed to be the Scrabble Queen.  She was a lifelong Elvis fan and was proud to own every movie and album he made.  She was the family historian and amazed everyone with the knowledge she stored in her memory.  She was loving and nurturing even the day before she went home to heaven she was watching and narrating a movie for her husband and making sure he was cared for.

The family will receive friends Thursday July 11th from 12:00 - 1:00 with funeral service at 1:00 officiated by Brad Forrest at Hartsell Funeral Home in Harrisburg.  Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park Harrisburg.

Lovingly remembered by her husband of 58 years, Cletus Kindley, her children, Donna Hajacos, Mike Kindley, Debra Mitchem and Joyce Eure, two sons in law, thirteen grand children and 13 great grand children and numerous other family and friends.
