Shirley Morgan

Shirley Furr Morgan, 80 years of age, of Kannapolis, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Carolina's Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.
Shirley was born July 7, 1935 in Stanly County, North Carolina to the late Rufus and Alta Furr Hathcock. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Monday at 11:00 am at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord, officiated by Rev. Gene Edwards . Burial will follow at Oakboro Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry D. Morgan of Kannapolis; her daughter, Angela Lathrop of Kannapolis; her grandsons, Kevan Dover (Gina Lyons) and Mason Lear (Jasmine Hozma).
Shirley retired from Purser Oil Company in Charlotte and was a member of Genesis Baptist Church, Kannapolis.
