Shirley Smith

Shirley Jean Maness Smith, age 69 of Albemarle, passed away on November 1, 2011 at the Lutheran Home of Albemarle. Friends may pay respect to the family at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Thursday, November 3, 2011 from 10:30am until 11:00am. The funeral service will follow at 11:00am, officiated by Pastor Ross Tracey. Burial will follow at Union Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Smith was born in Stanly County on October 4, 1942, to the late Robert William Maness and the late Eunice Ferol Mabry Maness. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Doris M. Herrin. She is survived by her husband, Richard “Larry” Smith, of the home; sons, Terry Lee Smith and wife Cyndi of Lexington, NC, Jody Ray Smith and wife Lisa of Mt. Pleasant, NC; sister, Donna M. Burris of Norwood, NC; grandchildren, William Ray Smith of Archdale, NC and Jared Robert Smith of Mt. Pleasant, NC.
