Sophie Smith

Sophie “Marie” Eury Smith, 84, of Concord, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at her home. A graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 2 PM. Ms. Smith was born on November 24, 1928 in Iredell County, to the late Charles B. “CB” Eury and Margaret Lefler Eury Ford. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Broughton Lanier Smith. She is survived by her son, Lynn P. Smith of Concord; granddaughter, Brandy Smith Deaton and husband Michael of Rockwell; great-grandchildren, Emma, Owen, and Adam Deaton; brother, Charles Eury; sister, Janice Taylor.
