Stanley Bennett, 78, born in Kingston, Jamaica, passed away on October 25, 2020 in Charlotte, NC.

He was born on October 7, 1942. He is the 11th of 12 children to the late Valda and Sylvanus Bennett, four brothers and two sisters are deceased. He attended school at New York City College of Technology and worked as an Accountant.  On March 14, 1970, he married Iona Goolgar.  To this union they had two children.  Stanley and Iona moved to Charlotte, NC in 2005.

Stanley was a strong man of faith and had a passion for witnessing and reaching the lost. He was an Elder and Treasurer at Faith Gospel Assembly for 25 years in Brooklyn NY, and after moving to Charlotte NC, became a member of Central Church of God and a part of the Prison Ministries.

Stanley is survived by his loving wife Iona of 50 years, son Martin Bennett(Cheryl), daughter Julane Moore(Roger); 6 Grandchildren: Devone Bennett, Cameron Bennett, Kirstie Moore, Lindsey Moore, Roger Moore Jr., and Liam Moore.

Also survived by two brothers: Kensley & Keith Bennett; three sisters: Lileath Perez, Eula Bramwell and Vera Bennett; Numerous nephews and Nieces; Godfather of 2 and many special friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020, at Central Church of God, 5301 Sardis road, Charlotte NC, with Pastor Greg Baker officiating. Viewing starts at 1pm, followed by funeral services at 2pm. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens, Charlotte NC.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg is serving the Bennett family.
