Stanley Doyle Clontz, 51 years of age of Monroe, passed away suddenly on August 23, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center – Union in Monroe. Mr. Clontz was born May 15, 1961 in Union County. He was a farmer and a carpenter. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m., Saturday, August 25, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, with a 30 minute state prior to the service, at Lee Park Baptist Church Old Sanctuary, (Bright Spot Baptist) 1407 Lockhart Street, Monroe. Rev. Chris Justice will officiate and burial will follow at Price Cemetery on Friendly Baptist Church Road in Monroe. At other times, the family will meet at the home. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Lisa Price Clontz, of the home; his son, Brandon Clontz of Monroe; his daughter, Jennifer Spidel and her husband, Ryan, of Stanfield; his parents, James David and Audrey Marion Hinson Clontz of Monroe; his twin brother, Steve Clontz and his wife, Sharon, of Gold Hill and their children, Daniel and Amanda Clontz, and Amanda Smith; his brother, James Clontz and his wife, Karen, and their children, Dallas and Lindsay, of Monroe; and his grandchildren, Lane and Luke Spidel.
