Stephen Honeycutt

Stephen Eugene "Steve" Honeycutt, 61 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Mr. Honeycutt was born March 22, 1954 in Albemarle, North Carolina to the late Donahue Eugene Honeycutt and the late Marion Arvonia Honeycutt.

He was a retired car dealer and an active auctioneer for over 30 years. He was a beloved husband, loving father, stepfather and grandfather. He has spent his last few years actively involved in two churches and ran his own Bible study.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be at 11:00 on Thursday May 14, 2015 at Congregational Christian Church, 1119 Carolina Avenue, Albemarle officiated by Rev Nathan Fox, Rev Jerry Mabry, Rev Buster Greene, and Rev Donald Ray Johnson. Burial will follow at New London Cemetery, 331 Spring Street, New London.

Survivors include wife Ruth Hinson Honeycutt of Albemarle, NC, son Jon-Erik (Mandi) Honeycutt of Goldsboro, son Michael (Shannon) Honeycutt of Matthews, son Jeremy (Morgan) Honeycutt of Albemarle, five grandchildren Amanda, Riley, Hunter, Kaila, and Robert, brothers David Gallimore and Mark Honeycutt, step daughter Amy Taylor and step son Jamie Hinson.
