Stephen Jordan

May 30, 1984 — April 7, 2023

Stephen (Steve) Marshal Jordan, age 38, born on May 30, 1984 in Upland, CA. He was raised in East Olympia, WA and resided in Concord, NC at the time he went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 7, 2023.

Steve passed from this life peacefully with his mother and father at his side. He had lived with managed chronic kidney health conditions for a number of years, unfortunately a blood infection damaged his major organs, and he was unable to recover.

Steve was a graduate of Tumwater High School, Class of 2002, Tumwater, WA. He completed his studies at Baylor University, Waco, TX, majoring in Political Science and History.

He was a military veteran having served honorably in the U.S. Army in both Iraq and Afghanistan as an Intel Analyst (which less than one million U.S. Military members served in both). During his military service he received the following:  Iraq Campaign Medal (with 2 Campaign Stars), Afghanistan Campaign Medal (with 2 Campaign Stars), and Army Commendation and Achievement Award Medals.

We would like to thank the many of Steve's childhood, college, military, and church friends from around the country who have reached out to share their memories of him. Reading how his intelligence , unique perspective of the world, his smile, sense of humor, and his unwavering faith in God impacted their lives was a blessing to our family.

One of his greatest joys was becoming "Tio" to Marshal Jordan (nephew), being a big brother to twin sisters Michelle Jordan (Marshal's Mama), and Meredith Jordan, of Concord, NC. He was a loving son and is survived by his mother, Cynthia Navarro-Jordan, of Concord, NC. His father, Jeffrey (Dena) Jordan, step siblings, Bennett Ferris and Ella Ferris of East Olympia, WA. His maternal Uncle John (Joan) Navarro, CA and paternal Aunt Keri (Mike) Holston, CA, and Uncle Robert Marinez, NC. Maternal cousins: Jonathan (Nicole) Navarro, CA; Kenzie Navarro, CA; and Jessica (Nick) Fuentes, CA. Paternal cousins:  Marty (Country) Martin, NC; Shannon Martin, FL; Robert (Shawna) Marinez, NC; Michaela (Ryan) Phatinawin, FL; Elijah (Amanda) Holston, CA; and Killian Holston, CA. He will be greeted with loving arms in Heaven by grandparents Louis and Lydia Navarro, George and Sandra Jordan, and Aunt Kris Marinez.

The flowers and cards that our family has received during this difficult time have been deeply appreciated. In lieu of additional flowers, our family asks that donations be sent to the Baylor University Veteran Educational and Transitional Services (https://bbis.baylor.edu), or the American Kidney Foundation https://kidneyfund.org in honor of Steve.
