Stephen Shue

Kannapolis

Stephen Davis Shue, aka “Skeeball” 75, of Kannapolis, passed away on February 3, 2021, at the Tucker Hospice House of Kannapolis, NC.

He was born on December 16, 1945, to the late Melvin and Vera Shue of Concord, NC. “Skeeball” retired from Concord Warehouse where he worked for more than 30 years. Steve proudly served his country in the United States Army where he was stationed in Korea.

Steve is survived by his loving daughter, Carla Carpenter (Scott) of Kannapolis, NC; son, Jeffery Shue of Salisbury, NC.  Four grandchildren that he adored dearly; Caleb Wilson, Hannah Wilson, Jamie Shue, and Jeremy Shue; and a great-granddaughter Abigail Wilson. He is also survived by his siblings Sharon Hatley; Sylvia Lewis (Rick); Gary Shue (Kathy); Mike Shue (Gail). Aside from the family, he leaves behind Mitzi, his devoted pet that was his shadow and protector.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years Judy Smith Shue; sister Sandra Munson; and brother Tommy Shue.

Visitation will be Monday, February 8, 2021 from 12 noon till 1 p.m. at Memorial Baptist Church, Kannapolis, NC. The memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jason Barber officiating.

The family will be at the family home (1250 Dial Street. Kannapolis, NC 28083). You are welcome to send condolences to the family home.
