Steve Melton

Steve Edgar Melton, 66 years of age, of Richfield, went to be with the Lord Thursday, December 12, 2013 at his home. Steve was born August 22, 1947 in Harriman, TN to the late Edgar Bright Melton and the late Maxine Stevens Melton. The memorial service will be at 3 pm on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Crossroads Baptist Church, with Rev. Eddie Hudson officiating. At other times, the family will be meeting at the home. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Harriette Jo Ann Melton of the home; daughters, Cathy Jo Melton and husband Ed Bristol of Cove City, and Mary Ann Lowder and husband Chad of Oakboro; five grandchildren, Teresa Keeney and husband Jason, Robbin Edwards and husband Chris, Katherine Morris and husband Brian, Christopher Watkins, and Melissa Efird, five great grandchildren, Shannon, Jaydon, Sydney, Miley, and Addison; sister, Sarah Johnson of Albemarle; brother, Todd Melton of Albemarle; and two half brothers, Ed Melton, Jr. of Indian Trail and Frank Melton of Cheraw, SC. Steve loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a loyal member of Crossroads Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon.
