Steven Brown

Mr. Steven Lewis Brown, 53, of Charlotte, passed away December 22, 2010 at Presbyterian Hospital. He was born on November 9, 1957 in Charlotte, NC. Mr. Brown was a graduate of Independence High School, class of 1976 and the owner of Wild Oak Antiques in Oakboro, formerly in Midland. A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland from 2:00 until 4:00 pm. A funeral service will at 4:00 pm in the chapel with Rev. Jeffrey Springer officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Charlotte on Monday at 2:00 pm. Steve was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan and loved racing. He enjoyed attending estate auctions and searching yard sales for that "rare find" or wordly treasure. He loved all animals, especially his cats, Astro, Buddy, and Miss Kitty. He is survived by his parents; Bobby and Gloria Brown, of Charlotte and sister; Sandy B. Griffin, of Oakboro.
