Steven Fowler

Steven James Fowler, 58, of 78 South White Street, Concord, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009 at CMC - Northeast.

A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, November 17, at Maranatha Worship Center in Concord, where he was a member. Rev. Marvin Goodnight and Rev. Jim Howard will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. At other times, the family will be meeting at the home of his father-in-law, Bobby Shue, at 151 Winecoff Avenue, Concord.

Mr. Fowler was born August 26, 1951 to the late James B. Fowler and the late Dorothy Roberts Fowler. He was a security systems salesman. He taught 10th grade in the Davidson County school system, as well as at Central Cabarrus High School in Concord. He was a graduate of Appalachain State University.

Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Shue Fowler of the home; daughter Stephanie Shue of Concord; brother Keith Fowler of Concord; neice Courtney Dawn Fowler; nephew Adam Jay Fowler; grandchildren Leland Riley Yerkes, Skyler Grace Yerkes and Elijah David Yerkes; best friends Steve Hodge, Percy Russell and Jay Bruckhart; and canine companions Rocky, Duke and Pearl.
