Sue Turner

Sue Jean “Suzie” Turner, age 75 of Albemarle, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2012. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Saturday, August 4, 2012 from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM. The funeral service will follow in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel at 4:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Donald Ray Johnson. Burial will be in the Silver Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at the home of Carol Brown, 238 N. 5th Street, Albemarle. Mrs. Turner was born in Stanly County on September 4, 1936 to the late Vernon Hunsucker, Sr. and the late Kesta Ollie Mauldin Hunsucker. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne Turner in January of 2003; one brother, Vernon Hunsucker, Jr. She is survived by one brother, Max Hunsucker and his wife Sue; one sister, Katherine Merle Lefler; special sister-in-law, Georgia Turner Allen; sister-in-law, Mrs. Vernon Hunsucker, Jr. “Sue”; brothers-in-law, Joe and Jim Turner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
