Sue Marie Vint, 92, of Richfield, passed away peacefully Friday, July 5, 2024, at her home.
Sue was born July 18, 1931, in Stanly County, North Carolina to the late Granville Parks Frick and the late Janie Elizabeth Drye Frick. She was also preceded in death by husband, Albert Edwin Vint, Jr; daughter Elizabeth Lynn Vint Tucker; and brother Bobby Ray Frick.
Sue graduated from Richfield High School then went on to Pfeiffer College where she received a bachelor’s degree in education. She taught for many years in the Rowan County School System. Once retired she continued teaching as a substitute teacher. Sue was a lifetime member at New Mt. Tabor UMC where she served as Sunday school teacher and shared her love for music as choir director for many years.
The funeral service will be on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at New Mt. Tabor UMC at 2pm officiated by Pastor Katie Lineberger. Burial will follow at the New Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church Cemetery, 40237Millingport Road, Richfield, NC 28137. A reception and visitation will follow the burial at the church.
Survivors include son, Eddie Vint of Toledo, Spain; daughter, Lisa Anne Jordan of Hillsborough, NC; son, Lindsay Parks (Priscilla) Vint of Albemarle, NC; three grandchildren, Lucas Jack Jordan, Melissa Grace Vint and Amelia Rose Vint; and one great-granddaughter, Madelyn Burris; sister, Joyce Mullis; brother Jimmy Frick, and many nieces and nephews.
