Sunny Phillips

Sunny Grace Phillips, eight days old, of Badin, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte.

Sunny was born September 17, 2014 in Stanly County to Brian "Ham" Lee Phillips and Rebecca "Tera" Cetera Mabry. She was preceded in death by great-grandmothers, Johnnie Henderson Phillips and Barbara Biggers; great-grandfather, Kenneth Whitley; great-grandmother, Rebecca "Becky" Cranford; great-great grandmothers, Maxine Cranford.

The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home Lefler Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Jerry Mabry.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Hailey Phillips, and brothers, Kendon and Jaxon Phillips; paternal grandparents, Mike and Mitzi Phillips, and Taska and Tony Little; paternal great-grandfathers, CD Biggers and Gary Phillips; maternal grandparents, Sandy Williamson Mabry, and Neil and Cheryl Mabry; maternal great-grandparents, Pauline and TA Griffin, and Jerry and Brenda Mabry; Glenn and Nina Williamson; maternal great-great grandmother, Shirley Williamson; and aunts and uncles, Kenny Phillips, Logan Little, and Ashly and Emma Mabry.

Even though she was with us for a short while on this earth, she touched many lives and will always be remembered in our hearts.
