Sylvia "Granny" Buckland, 72 years of age, of Concord, went home to be with her heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 9, 2015.
Mrs. Buckland was born April 12, 1943 in South Carolina to the late William Rowe and the late Ressie Rowe. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles Buckland; as well as two brothers and five sisters.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord. Burial will take place at the Forest Lawn West Cemetery in Charlotte.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Belcher and husband Kenny of Concord, NC; granddaughter Becky Belcher and Quincy Shipp of Concord, NC; granddaughter Diane Threadgill and husband Dale of Concord, NC; great grandchildren Savannah, Jackson and Kaylee Threadgill; as well as Brayden and Kenlee Shipp; and her best friend Al Higdon, and her furry baby Zoey.
Granny, as everyone knew her, never met a stranger. She loved her Carolina Panthers and her Concord Wal Mart friends. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family.
