Sylvia Wallace

Sylvia Leann Wallace, 84, of Harrisburg, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022 at her home.

Sylvia was born December 11, 1937 in Caldwell County to the late Hoyle Sylvester Wright, Sr. and the late Helen Frances Hege Wright. In addition to her husband, William Edward Wallace, she was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Aubrie Wallace; and brothers, Durvan Wright and Rodney Wright.

The family will have a graveside service on Monday, February 28th, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Charlotte Memorial Gardens, 7632 Hood Rd Charlotte, NC 28215, officiated by Chaplain Sonya Campbell.  The family will be having a post-funeral reception immediately following the service at Harvest Harrisburg Church, 7155 Hickory Ridge Rd, Harrisburg NC 28075.

“Sylvia was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother who never met a stranger. Nothing brought her more joy than family, friends, and food. Well, maybe we should add conversation as she was known to bend an ear or two in her time.  She has filled the lives of her children and all those she knew with “stories” to entertain them for the years.  The family is so thankful for Mom’s steadfast friends, Betty Flowers and Ellen Wallace among many others. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Roxie Cornelison for the wonderful care she gave to our mother over the last four years.  We are grateful to these individuals and all those who had the pleasure of knowing our mother.

Survivors include daughters, Lisa Wallace and partner Christine Mull, Teresa Bellucci and husband Rich, Robin Price and husband Wayne; brother, Hoyle Wright Jr; grandchildren, Casey Wallace-Melton, Lily Wallace-Chappell, Reese Wallace-Chappell, Katie Bellucci, Amber Kiker and husband Kyle and Lauren Price; great-grandchildren, Caleb Kiker, Hudson Kiker, Jase Kiker and Luke Kiker.
