Tammy Almond

Tammy Renae Almond, 52 years of age, of Midland, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015 at her home in Midland.
Tammy was born December 16, 1962 in Rowan County to the late Roy Lee Almond and Hazel Marie Almond of Midland.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Matton's Grove United Methodist Church, 24732 Matton's Grove Church Road in Gold Hill. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the church sanctuary, officiated by Rev. Emily Kroeger. The burial will be in the church cemetery. At other times the family will be gathering at her home.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sister, Wanda Whited and husband Jerry of Midland; brothers, Terry Almond and wife Shirley of Midland, Darrell Almond of Midland, and Darin Almond and wife Tina of Norwood; seven nieces; two nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Tammy was a devoted paramedic for 17 years for Cabarrus and Anson County EMS. She was recently promoted to supervisor for Anson County EMS, where she has worked for the last 13 years.
