Tammy Rose

Tammy Elaine Newell Rose, 49 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013, peacefully at her home after a long battle with cancer. Tammy was born October 1, 1963 in Mecklenburg County to Bobby James Newell and Barbara Elaine Simpson Newell of Charlotte . The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 10, 2013, from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel and will be officiated by Dr. Wayne Bennett. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 17236 Frog Pond Road, Oakboro, NC 28129. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 19 years, James E. "Jim" Rose of Oakboro; son, Patrick Melfelder of OK; daughters, Emily Newell of Mt. Holly and daughter, Sarah Rose of Oakboro; two grandchildren, Marie Grace and Max Melfelder; brother, Robert Newell and wife, Laura of Charlotte.
