Tanya Goodman

Tanya E. Goodman, 60, of Concord, passed away Friday, December 20, 2019 at home, surrounded by her loving family and close friends.

Tanya was born July 3, 1959 in Salisbury to the late Brownie Goodman and Shelby Lemly Goodman.  In addition to her father, Tanya was also preceded in death by a sister, Connie Goodman Treece.

Tanya was a 1977 graduate of East Rowan High School.  She earned her associate's degree in Early Childhood Development from Rowan Cabarrus Community College.  Most recently, Tanya worked at Honda of Concord as a parts specialist for 21 years.  She enjoyed traveling, especially by motorcycle.  She loved spending time in the mountains, especially at her cabin.  Tanya enjoyed being part of Cabarrus Christian Women and their Bible studies.  She attended Connect Christian Church in Concord and supported Pink Pals in Concord.  Tanya absolutely loved Christmas and decorating her home and cabin for the holidays.  She dearly loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her mother, Tanya is survived by her beloved partner for 13 years, Curt Andrews; son, Cletus Adam Trexler IV of Concord; son, Jason (Randi) Trexler of China Grove and their son, Brayden; furbaby, Daisy Mae "Queen of the House" Goodman, who was a blessing and great comfort; brother, Rob (Angeala) Goodman of Savannah, GA; sister, Carlean (Jeff) Gobble of Granite Quarry; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews; close friends and great caregivers, Beverly Burton of Midland and Sandra Riggins of Concord; and beloved neighbors of Sapphire Hills in Concord.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord.  The memorial service in celebrations of Tanya's life will follow at 2:00 pm on Saturday in the funeral home chapel, officiated by CJ Riddle.  Tanya will be laid to rest at Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis.
