Ted Smith

Ted Allen Smith, 78, of Locust, passed away at his home Saturday, July 29, 2017.

Ted was born December 11, 1938 in Stanly County to the late Albert Sidney Smith and the late Eunice Ellen Smith. He had a love for farming, raising cattle and most of all his John Deere tractors.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Monday, July 31, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Monday at 11:00 am at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle. A eulogy will be given by David Wilson. Burial will follow at the Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery at 24671 Millingport Road, Locust NC.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Saundra Smith, one daughter, Tamara Biggers (Jeff) of Locust; two sons, Allen Dale Smith (Gayle) of Mt. Pleasant; and Dayna Lynn Smith of Stanfield; brothers, Joe Smith of Concord; Jerry Smith of Locust; and James Smith of Charlotte; sisters, Julie Smith, Reua Huneycutt and Francis Huneycutt all of Concord. Grandchildren, Chris Smith, Katie Fezza, A.J Smith, Joshua Biggers, Jessica Biggers, Laura Smith, Hannah Smith, and Dakota Smith.
