Ted Wayne Whittington, 76 years of age, of Concord, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Universal Healthcare in Concord.
Mr. Whittington was born January 21, 1938 in Cabarrus County to the late James Manuel Whittington and the late May Bell Whittington . He was also preceded in death by one brother, J. M. Whittington.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM, on Friday, April 11, 2014, at Broadus Memorial Baptist Church, Green Street, Concord. The memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary, officiated by Rev. Rodney Quesenbury and Rev. Bob Greene. Full military honors will be held at the service.
Survivors include loving wife of 55 years, Carolyn Ann Whittington of Concord, NC; son, Jeffrey (Betty) Whittington of Concord; daughter, Sheri Whittington of North Myrtle Beach; grandchildren, Jasmine Livoti and Kelsi Whittington; brother, Harold Whittington of LA; sister, Eva Self of KY.
