Teresa Austin

Teresa Herring Austin, 59, of Mt. Gilead, NC passed away on February 25, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 27 from 5-7 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The service will follow at 7 PM in Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel. At other times the family will be meeting at her daughter Karen’s home, 718 Brevard Dr. in Albemarle. Mrs. Austin was born in Cabarrus County on March 8, 1951 to the late William Herring and Beatrice Herring of Concord who survives. Mrs. Austin is survived by her husband Rufus Vance “RV” Austin of the home; son, Steven Tucker of Jamestown; daughter, Karen Hudson of Albemarle; brothers, Wayne Herring Sr. of Concord, Keith Herring of Kannapolis; grandchildren, Daniel and Kendra Tucker, Alana, Shawn and Gage Hudson. Memorial may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Austin family.
