Teresa Barbee

Teresa "Trish" Rush Barbee, 74, of Locust, NC passed away peacefully Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast in Concord, after a courageous eighteen month battle with ALS.

Trish was born August 4, 1943 in Concord, NC to the late Lacy Walton Rush and the late Carra Paige Simpson.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lee Barbee in 2012.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Morton and husband, Doug; grandson, Zack Morton and wife Megan; grandson, Garrett Morton; great-grandson, Isaac Morton; sister, Madge Tucker; brother, Wayne Rush; brother-in-law, Bobby Barbee; and very special sister-in-law, Peggy Little; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 18, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Oakboro, with a 30 minute state, officiated by Pastor Trent Drye.  Burial will follow at the First Baptist Church Cemetery at 4720 Garmon Mill Road in Midland.
