Teresa Hammonds

Teresa Dale Foster Hammonds, 59 of Concord, passed away on Thursday, December 8th at CMC-NorthEast in Concord. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Sunday, December 11th from 6 until 8 pm. The funeral service will be at Westford United Methodist Church 273 Hwy. 49 South Concord on Monday, December 12th at 11 am, following a 30 min. state, with Rev. Jeffrey Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. At other times the family will meet at her sister Shelia’s home at 697 Main Street Concord. Teresa was born on March 10, 1952 in Cabarrus County to the late Conway Sylvester and Reecie Mae Simpson Foster. She was also preceded in death by her husband Arthur Gerald Hammonds, brother Randy Foster and a sister Charlotte Bassinger. Teresa was a Computer programmer with Wachovia in Charlotte, and was a member of Westford United Methodist Church. Teresa is survived by her sons, Benjamin Hammonds, and Jonathan Hammonds both of Concord; brother, Donald R. Foster and wife JoAnn of Concord; sister, Shelia Hartsell of Concord; father-in-law, Arthur Hammonds of Concord; and many nieces and nephews.
